I got a call!

And an interview! Sadly, these things are not connected.

The call was a pre-interview screening which may or may not lead to an actual interview, but it's for a research assistant position.

The interview is with a staffing company in the hopes of getting some money coming in. I have been good today, sort of - I have submitted resumes to 5 thus far of my list of 20 staffing companies in DC. I have also sent an email to a guy who is hiring part-time at CQ Press, which would be not much but if combined with temp work half the week could be a really good in. We shall see.

If I do this for two more hours, I think I can justify cutting out before rush hour really hits so I can go to Target and the grocery store and the liquor store, because I don't think I can handle the debate tonight fully sober *g*. (actually, it's more "I deserve a bottle of shiraz, dammit" than "If I drink, maybe Sarah Palin will start to make sense".)

Though Slate does - much easier to take some of Palin's crap when you start putting in line breaks :)

I wish I'd paid Joe Biden more attention at the beginning, not that it would have done his campaign any good. But I really do like the guy. A lot.

Anyway, I'd rather talk about fucked up dreams. As in, this morning, I woke up in the middle of yet another dream about Signature's LM. This time, Eric had managed to cut IML and AHFOL. I mean, WTF? Distinct mental image of a lack of those two songs. Replaced with newly written book scenes. Not that Eric would actually do that to me in real life, but still - why am I having multiple weird dreams about a production that hasn't happened yet?
