Did we finally see a happy show?
Apr. 13th, 2008 10:44 pmWell, we saw The Happy Time. Which is a nice show, I admit, and Minarik made me cry because every time he starts getting all weepy on stage, I lose it. And this didn't even involve slashy! Of course it was lovely and miserable in the end with death and crying and no one making out. It was great.
But it was just so funny to see Minarik and CJ give us looks at curtain call. It was so good to see them both in lead roles, finally. And Minarik was born for this role. He gets to make goofy faces, shout loudly, cry, and sing beautifully, all in the course of the show. It's a great character in a nice show, and he was brilliant. Love him to death. Love Carrie to death, too. It was so nice to hear her sing at length, finally, and she was so beautiful.
Voluntary count for the weekend: 3. Expected voluntaries: 2. Score! *g*
