I may be out of contact for a while
Jan. 2nd, 2008 04:16 pmMy computer yesterday decided to develop a memory leak that is steadily getting worse. It started around 3 pm, and by 9 pm, I couldn't open Word, much less anything that requires more memory.
I removed several programs, including the software for my wireless adapter, in an effort to staunch the leak, but no effect. So it's going to Geek Squad tonight after work.
But this means for the moment no internet at home, no making of shinies, and me going out of my mind. I'll be checking messages from work, but keeping it to email and LJ. No Facebook or MySpace until further notice. If you need me outside of normal business hours, you'll have to call my cell until I have further updates as to what's wrong and how long it'll take to fix.
