*squee* He's so little!!!
Nov. 1st, 2003 11:34 pmI have it bad for Tom Hollander. Such Courfeyrac potential -- when he wasn't angsty/heartbroken this evening, he was so Courfeyrac, especially in the interview for the BBC position. Poor Guy. I love Guy, and I feel so sorry for him. I just want to hug him most of the time. Guy needs a hag. Let me be his hag.
My original quibble with the first installment was that it didn't seem to be setting up the "why" very well -- the second part definitely gives a stronger feeling of the elimination of the centre and the feeling that it was either the left or the right, and Britain appeared on the path to rightist destruction. Hell, I'd have been a commie, too.
And Kim! Yes, I was right he was going to sleep his way around Europe, but gah, what a lovely, lovely boy. Heartbroken.
Donald does not have the guts for this, the poor boy. The poor, poor boy, got roped into it because Kim wanted in so badly but Moscow wanted Donald. Don is too nervous -- he's too nice of a boy, he hates lying, you can just tell. He doesn't have the guts for this. He's not daring enough. He's tragedy waiting to happen, and I think he senses that in himself, it's part of his fear of the whole thing.
I still can't figure out Blunt, and I wish I knew how he and Burgess got involved in the whole thing. The biggest flaw is that we don't know the history of those two. And you know how I adore my bois. Blunt seems so much a cold fish, but it's obvious he loves Guy. Not sexually, but protectively. That's a relationship I wish I knew more about.
I'm starting to feel a need for a Tom Hollander icon. He's just so adorable!

Because one has to see the lovely British commie boys.
